Thanks for your interest in joining the translation efforts here at Gospel Translations! We're honored that you would consider helping us out in our mission to make biblically sound resources freely available all around the world.

To get started as a translator, all we ask of you is that you agree to the translation guidelines that we've outlined below. At the bottom of this page, if you agree to all of the guidelines, you'll find a link to contact us and get started on your first project.

Thank you for reviewing these carefully!

Translator's Agreement

  1. I agree to translate the text faithfully to reflect the original author's intention. If I am not sure about the original author's intention, I will consult with Gospel Translations administrators or other translators. If I question or disagree with an author's point of view and do not wish to translate it, I will ask to work on a different text.
  2. I agree to not contextualize any passages in my translations. If an author's words or ideas will be difficult for people in my culture to understand, I will add a footnote to explain the author's meaning further.
  3. I agree to release all ownership and rights over the work I submit to Gospel Translations. They may post my work online and in print, or give others permission to do so, at their discretion. I understand that they will always credit me as the translator when my work appears on their website.
  4. I agree to cooperate with the Gospel Translations community by using the translator's handbook and, if at all possible, the suggested Bible translation for my language.

How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of him who brings good news,
who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness,
who publishes salvation,
who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.”
- Isaiah 52:7 (ESV)
