About Faith
Part of the series Message Excerpt
Without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. (Hebrews 11:6)
Genuine faith is not merely a decision to believe — it’s also an expectation of great joy. If you don’t come to God expecting reward, then you don’t come in faith. Only when you come to him expecting to find ultimate satisfaction for your soul do you come in faith.
Jesus said, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst” (John 6:35). Our souls hunger and thirst for something this world can never give, but when you trust Jesus, he quenches your thirst and satisfies your hunger once and for all.
